The Hi Bebe fetal doppler has been available on the market since 2005. Utilising a 2Mhz probe, the unit was able to detect a fetal heartbeat as early as 10-12 weeks. Although the doppler was quite affordable, it was not as sensitive as its more expensive competition dopplers such as the 3Mhz Sonotrax or Lifedop.

However, in June of 2011 a new version of the Hi Bebe has been released and now includes a more sensitive 3Mhz probe which is able to detect a fetal heartbeat as early as 8-10 weeks. Not only is the new Hi Bebe 3Mhz doppler more sensitive but it also now comes standard with a waterproof probe as well which is great for waterbirths and tub or shower labour.

All Hi Bebe fetal dopplers come standard with an extended 2 Year warranty (Sonotrax and Lifedop only have 1 year warranties) all packaged with carrycase, batteries and easy to follow instructions in a nice little box.
